The creation of the lesson to me is the best part. I find it rewarding developing lessons and through the analytics I can establish if the lesson needs adapting, improving or what parts are less/more engaging. Having the feedback from the students can optimise my lesson generation and ideally their outcomes.

Teaching 1st year health students certain topics in an engaging manner can be tricky. Working with Smart Sparrow Kim found an online teaching solution that offers interactive activities and case studies to her students, especially for those living in remote and rural areas, plus content that’s rich in multimedia so they can better absorb and understand the expectations and risks associated with the health-working environment.

Kim developed an entire suite of adaptive lessons, including an interactive case study that focuses on a patient named Jack Brown, who was experiencing chest pains due to an unknown cardiovascular disease. Using a range of multimedia students are challenged to consider every action that must be taken in the diagnosis of Jack, and every complication that could arise, should they find themselves in a similar situation in real life.
